Whether you buy clothes off the rack, or take advantage of our in-house tailoring department, The Oxford Shop has put a unique stamp on Nashville’s fashion community. The tailoring department is led by master tailor Leonardo (Leo) Alvarez, who inspects each stitch individually. Along with apprentice Elizabeth Gonzalez, Leo is fashioning clothing that meets the highest standards. Since the age of 12, Leo has studied the art of tailoring. The Oxford Shop is fortunate to have a true craftsman on site. Leo has garnered a faithful following over his many years as a head tailor; clients know that he is a perfectionist with an irresistible attention to detail. Discriminating customers rest easy knowing that Leo is in charge of their new suit or jacket. Having an in-house tailor keeps us true to our tradition as a gentlemen’s fine clothier. Leo, like all The Oxford Shop staff, is fascinated by clothing choices; they reflect a man’s identity. Each of us takes pride in Leo’s work – and our own.
